hello, boston! hello, snow!

Filed under: holidays, meg of the north — meg @ 11:02 am

I’m in Boston!

I made it here safely and without incident, save for sitting in the middle seat.

Sitting in the middle seat — while I shouldn’t complain, I really shouldn’t, because how lucky am I to be here with my lovely guy? — is kind of like being in an elevator with too many people (people who are breathing on you, moving around all the time, eating strange things, grunting, and asking you to move so they can use the washroom… not that there is one of those on an elevator BUT YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN) for much longer than an elevator ride.

Five and a half hours!

Middle seat!

Anyway, I got here, and since then, Boston has had maddeningly brisk wind chill temperatures… and now, snow.

SNOW!

SNOW!

SNOW!

SNOW!

It’s fine, really, except that I was wearing flip flops when it began.

Just like when it happens in Vancouver.

But now I am cozy on the sofa with Gradon, preparing to watch movies and play his son’s PS3 and eat takeout… ALL DAY LONG.

We’re staying in for New Year’s Eve, partly because I don’t really like NYE parties (I am an old, old woman), and partly because no one should really be futzing around in this weather. Actually, before the weather even happened, we decided a cozy NYE was the perfect fit for us.

We’re crazy like that.

Anyway, I’ll write another post later today about the year, but for now?

SNOW!
