My fervent hope for you is that you and Gradon get yourselves to the same city at the same time, ALL THE TIME. This long distance stuff is for the Cardinal Richlieus.
No living trees were harmed during the making of this post.
I’m sure Canada has a couple trees to spare for this post.
Happy Christmas, Meg!
This year was the first in five years where I actually put up a tree (my Mama’s) and decorations. It reminded me very much of misfit toys. My hope is this will be the last Christmas I spend alone. This one was a transitionary one for me. I’m planning (and looking forward) on coming up with new traditions for next year.
My boyfriend (still feels odd to say that, it’s so new) gave me a glass pickle this year. Apparently, it’s been in his family for a while.
It’s been a difficult year, but I am thankful for all the gifts I’ve been given…even if I didn’t think they’re were gifts at the time.
I love this post. :) It’s comforting to know that there’s SOMEONE out there who’s as much of a Christmas junkie as I. One of my favorite things in the world is to sit, after all have gone to bed, with no lights on but for those on my tree … and just look at it.
Worst thing about Christmas? How bleak and empty a house can feel after the warm glow of merry midget lights has gone. *SIGH*
Lovely post, Meg … and I hope you and your Gradon have a wonderful New Year’s. Safe travels!
NOBODY touches those trees until I’ve seen ‘em… we’ll be there in a couple o’ days.
(And I feel a couple of trees should have been sacrificed for the cause… it’s been years since I saw a real Christmas tree)
Love you Meg, love your parents, love the trees, I even love Gradon (and we have yet to meet :-)Bon voyage.
Merry belated Christmas Meg. As usual, you have managed to bring new merriment into an old tradition. Happy New Year!!
I love how you glow in the light of your Starbucks cup. :)
I loved your tree tour. I would have 12 trees if I could but only 1 fits in my apartment. Well, there is another fiber optic little job on top of the TV but it really doesn’t count cause I can’t decorate it. :)
You have yourself a wonderful time with your visiting and I hope your flight into the USA is not fraught with aggravations.
Happy New Year little Meg.
Beautiful trees and a beautifully written post to match. Merry belated Christmas as well. But, at least I can wish you a Happy New Year on time.
Love those trees. Not sure if you read my blog post, but this Jewish girl decided she’ll be having a tree in the future, too. I want to cover something in balls… ;)
…ah Meg…we love ya!
