the return of fives!

It’s a Monday.

As I said last time, Mondays were made for to-do lists.

Or… any lists, really.

Kilimanjaro - highest mountain in Africa with rainforests and glaciers all in one, (b) Spain, porque me gusta Europa y yo hablo Espanol; (c) Machu Picchu because (pre)history is awesome; (d) Alaska because of the breadth of national parks; (e) Prague - onion domes, need I say anything else?
    2. Paris, Yosemite National Park, Yucatan Peninsula, International Fireworks Festival in Montreal, Northern Utah (because of the intensity of the national parks) there
    3. Cholula, sour cream, (unmentionable), fat free half-and-half, dijon mustard
    4. Breakfast at Tiffany’s, The Geek Gets the Girl, Bittersweet, Sweet Caroline (do the Red Sox count as my loved ones?), theme song to NCIS (I tell @jeffcutler that will be our processional should we ever get married)

    2. “Fire & Rain” by James Taylor makes me think of my dad
    3. “Just Watch the Fireworks” by Jimmy Eat World reminds me of my dead ex-boyfriend
    4. The entire Dawson’s Creek soundtrack makes me think of my childhood best friend
    5. “Rockabye” by Sean Mullins (I think?!) reminds me of the foreign exchange student (”my brother”) who my mom & I hosted my freshman year of college

    1. Math, even simple math
    2. Directions (the north-south kind, not the “Here’s what you do next” kind)
    3. Science of any & all variety
    4. Crossword puzzles (Seriously. Terrible.)

    A) London - I’ll be traveling there at the first of the year, and I am so anxious and excited that I can hardly stand it. I’ll go to libraries, book stores, and museums for free. Yay!
    B) Bath - This is somewhere that I plan to visit while in London. Yay for trains! Bath makes me think of Chaucer, and yes, I love Chaucer.
    C) The Grand Canyon - beauty
    D) Coos County, OR - My birthplace that I’ve never seen.
    E) a random country road - I live in the rural South. It isn’t always great to live here, but the occasional undiscovered gravel road is wonderful.

    a) Costa Rica - ziptrekking through the rainforest
    b) Maldives - a tropical vacation (I’ve never taken one!) and I want to eat at the underwater restaurant. It would be a once-in-a-lifetime splurge.
    c) Iceland - The hot springs and geysers, plus I just think it would be cool to go to such an unusual destination
    d) Croatia - it was somewhere that I heard a million good things about when I was travelling through Europe last year, but I never made it there.
    e) Thailand - I’m not sure why. I’ve just always felt drawn to it.
