Remember what I said to you? “Thank you for writing such an honest, personal blog.” In this world of writing to gain an audience to gain an income, you eschew the “blogging strategy” for honest communication, and for that, I’m still thankful.

Happy Blog Bday! I’ve only been visiting for about a year of it, but it’s been thoroughly enjoyable.
And I think a cupcake is an excellent idea.
I didn’t realize my blog was older than yours! (It’s going to be five! years for my site in just a couple of weeks. Crazy, that.)

Happy blogiversary, dearest. I remember the first time I found your blog, I spent a while reading and reading. I LOVED everything about the way you wrote. It was fresh (in the good way) and relatable. That’s when I read about your diagnosis and my heart just broke for you and I read this paragraph that I thought was so fantastically well put that I had it up on my Facebook quotes for almost a year:
“What it does do is make me frost over when people tell me it’s not the end of the world. Of course it isn’t. Of course it isn’t. Only the end of the world is the end of the world, and if that was the only measure for grieving, then no one should be doing anything but smiling like the sun itself was shoved up their ass. Until the world ends, that is. Then get out your Kleenex.”
When I discovered your blog I thought, this gal is cool. And I’d like to be her friend. And now I’m so glad I can say I am.

hope you had the happiest third birthday ever megfowler.com! as a gift, i will share with you what i did on my third birthday: it was a kermit the frog themed birthday party. i had a funny hat and got sick on green icing. i received castle greyskull for my big present, and a bee sting to go with it.

i’ve been reading you since the blog cabin days – hard to believe you made the move 3 years ago
It’s hard to believe your blog’s only 3. It just acts so much older. Granted, it makes me laugh like most 3 year-olds do, but it does so many other things that belie it’s age. It organizes it’s thoughts into conversational tones; it says things that go straight to my soul; it empathizes and sympathizes with and to me; it speaks truthfully of things most others don’t…or won’t. I’m glad to have been here to watch it grow.
