friday love list: summer is coming edition
First, go here and fill out this wee questionnaire at my recently launched skincare blog.
THEN… let’s talk about LOOOOVE.
Specifically, SUMMER LOVE.
I have the rare gift of really loving all the seasons while I’m in them, for the most part. For example, in winter, I am stoked about snow and Christmas lights and hot cider and fireplaces. In spring, I am bonkers for blossoms and the smell of rain on fresh soil and grass. In fall, I would happily spend my day rolling around in crackly leaves and purchasing foxy new sweaters.
But summer?
Beaches? Waves? Freckles? Sunsets at 10 pm at night?
YESSSSSSSS.
This love list is dedicated to my (current) favourite season and all that goes with it. I encourage you (as always) to write your own in the comments, or post one at your blog, and leave us a link.
Because, though the Beatles didn’t exactly say this, on a Friday? A love list is all you need. All you need is a love list.

Yea! I share your love of each season as I’m in it. The four seasons in the midwest suit my ADD perfectly.
My summer loves:
bright colorful clothes
warm air outside at night
flip flops and jellies
the beach. any beach.
naps on rafts in pools
reading outside
wineries
outdoor concerts
baseball (go Cardinals!)
boats
float trips (canoes on a river in the sticks for those not in Missouri)
the smell of sunscreen
kids outside playing till the streetlights come on
sundresses
margaritas
my easy to tan skin (thanks, dad)
the icecream man
that weird way the light seems inside at night when you’ve been out in the sun all day
