well, ho ho ho.
Catherine is about to board a bus en route to Los Angeles because her flight to San Diego (to be with Eric) was canceled. A 36-hour ride.
I’m hoping my dad isn’t totally insane to be making the journey out here to get me in feet and feet of snow. He refused to stay home.
I’m coughing up a lung. This feels oddly familiar.
Christmas eve service is canceled. As it should be, in this weather.
Whee!
I love Christmas like few others, and I refuse to be a crank about it, but please keep Catherine (most of all) and my Dad in your thoughts and prayers.
I know of many, many people who are having a much rougher time than I am this season, so keep your thoughts with them, too.
My lungs? Just send a vacuum.

Merry Christmas Meg, and good thoughts coming your way for your father and Catherine.

Aw, Meg, I’m sorry about the coughing. And the bus ride for the Catherine.
I’m not sorry your dad is out in the weather. I just hope that he’s safe out there.
I, too, will be alone on Christmas day. Ethan and Devon will be with their mom tomorrow; I’m going to pick them up Friday morning.
Even though we’re 3000+ miles apart, you’ll be in my heart on Christmas, and I know I’ll be in yours.
Merry Christmas, baby. :)

For what it’s worth, the Great Christmas Scourge of ‘08 has descended upon our house too. If we don’t get to a Christmas Eve service, it won’t be because of the weather.
Regardless, safe travels to your roommate and family and Happy Christmas, Meg!
