And I am eligible, since I a) am Canadian; b) have a blog; and c)…. uh, I won the journalism award in high school?

I too am Canadian… and I have a blog, but my award was in college and for my humour column. Thankfully only having two out of three requirements still got me nominated as well. Good luck with the awards.
