early friday morning love list: mercy, mercy me.

My goodness.

My life has certainly seen a lot of ups and downs in the last three months.

On one hand, wow.

On the other hand, whoa.

So much work, I can’t even tell you. Strange challenges, crazy deadlines, major things accomplished. And beyond that, learning the (fairly lame) lesson of how to deal with mistakes (with shaking my fist at the sky.)

(I don’t really like mistakes. Even though I make a ton of them, I’m no fan.)

Overall, for better or for worse, I feel like I’ve been too busy to stop and think.

Which means I don’t stop to write, either.

That’s another mistake.

So.

A little late-night love list, to get me back in the game.

THINGS I LOVE

Gradon (you knew that was coming)

Iron Chef

Calla lilies

Sad Trombone

Redeemed haircuts

Yoga balls

Ballet flats

Snuggling in for an extra 15 every morning

Big, silly rings

Hamsters on a piano:

Bright pashminas

Soy candles

Tootsie pops (cherry)

Staring down the impossible

Crisp, bright fall days

New pajamas

Gray pearls

The upcoming red cups at Starbucks

A fresh black Sharpie

Sweaters (well, the thought of buying more…)

Vince Guaraldi

Dreaming of pedicures

Magazines

Haiku

Giggling out loud when I listen to podcasts on the bus

Fresh white towels

Freelance work that pays!

Putting up our tree this weekend

And you?
