top ten things i wonder about at 11:30 at night.
1. What it would take to get me a ride in a convertible tomorrow.
2. Why I can never remember the middles of jokes.
3. How people who understand math and physics and difficult things along those lines see people like me who trip over air and memorize WHAM! lyrics and swoon at cut flowers.
4. Who still watches Survivor and Big Brother… and why?
5. Why potatoes can’t just be potatoes, and need to be carbs.
6. Why I never realized how easy things were when things were easy.
7. How anyone thought up rollercoasters, Fun Dip, and ping pong.
8. When I’ll become the person who just DOES things, and doesn’t worry about disappointing anyone with her choices.
9. Where my perfect spot on earth is.
10. When I’ll be with the someone who rolls over and goes, “Woman. Stop wondering and SLEEP.”

Today I saw an old VW Bug in a parking lot. Had me wondering about the life of that little car and how in the world it happened to end up where it was.

My hat goes off to whoever invented roller coasters, fun dip and ping pong. After searching many years for my perfect spot on earth, I’ve come to realize … it’s wherever I am when I have a smile on my face.
PS: #10 will likely happen just about the time when you stop wondering about it … ;-)

Personally I find it very disappointing that my answer to #8 always seems to be “tomorrow”.

Hey Meg,
As a chick who understands and is good at math and physics (it’s very important in residential house design which is my job), I can say that I am attracted to people who are overtly artistic and spontaneous because it’s the opposite of me! It keeps me on my toes. Keep in mind, however, that us left-brainers trip over nothing, play air guitar to Wham! and adore plunging their noses into fresh cut flowers too!
Your blog makes me smile and laugh out loud (to my co-workers raised eyebrows…) when i read it and you are WAY harder on yourself than anyone ever will be, just like most of us i guess. I hope you know how special you are to so many people all over the world!!! Keep writing girl!
xx Amy

Um … I still watch both BB AND Survivor. And I have no answer to the why part. It’s just plain … pathetic, maybe.
Actually, I’m okay with it. It’s all part of the charm that is moi. ;)
I think you’re all things great. xo

Wow. I have just found my absolute FAVORITE phrase for 2008:
“How people who understand math and physics and difficult things along those lines see people like me who trip over air and memorize WHAM! lyrics and swoon at cut flowers.”
