May the little guy rest in peace. Bless your parents for taking care of him while he was on this Earth. )=
Aww, Mike. Rest in peace, little guy.
On the bright side, Annabelle gets her house back.
In situations like this, I always ask “Why? Why could he/she not have led a longer, fuller life?”
Of course I always want the cuties, regardless of species, to live forever.
I must correct one thing. The decision to say goodbye was mine alone. The vet was willing to begin a series of treatments but there was no guarantee that the first would work,- in which case there would be more tests and his pain and weakening would be longer and likely end thi way anyway. He had a prolapsed rectum and the discomfort of that was obvious constantly in my efforts to keep him clean. He couldn’t manage it himself without making himself sicker. If the first treatment was not effective the next possible causes would be dangerous for our older cat and I chose not to protract Mike’s misery. Thank you all for caring.
oh how sad! :(
Poor little Mike.
He didn’t look well but I’m sorry for your folks and that we won’t see his little face on your blog any more. Poor baby…but no more suffering now. I hope that this doesn’t keep your parents from rescuing other lost cats without homes!
How sad!
RIP, li’l bro. :(
I has a sad.
Oh, poor wee Mike! RIP, little kitty.
Aww, We’ll miss ya Mike. RIP
sweet little mike…. god speed little buddy.
I’m a little late on my comment but I couldn’t pass on writing something about it. I was so happy for Mike to have found a caring family! My mom and I also rescue any strays (cats or dogs) that we find. Some make it, some don’t. But the reward comes from knowing that even if they don’t make it, you’ve made their departure a lot easier. It warms my heart to learn about human kindness towards those who can’t speak for themselves. God bless you!
Saludos
Awww I saw sweet little Mike on Flickr. Your poor Mom and Dad. May Mike rest in peace and play up in the clouds with those pretentious Cottonelle kittens. :P
