For all intents and purposes, you’re only as old as you feel. That can create issues at times though. For example, whenever someone asks my age, I have a compulsive urge to say 22 but then I do the math (I have to do the math as I can’t simply remember a simple two-digit number but I can juggle two four-digit numbers in my head) and realize I am, in fact, 31. And then I am rather shocked and awed for a few moments. Every. Single. Time.
IMHO, turning 34 is way easier than turning 30. On my 30th I locked my keys in the car and once the tow-truck guy got me in and I paid him my $50 I had to call him back to give me a boost. You’d think he would’ve given me a birthday 2 for 1 but noooo…
I have a riddle for you. I am five years from 40. I have never looked my age and I even fool myself into believing I am not as old the the year that I was born indicates. How old do you think I am? My age can also be stated as five years from 50. Now do you know? ;-)
Age is just a number. Enjoy your number 34! It is the only 34 you will get. :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Hope you have a good day. It’s going to snow here today, heres hoping it doesint back at home. I’m in Oregon right now….fun wow, in a town called Boring….can you feel my excitment? Ah well sacrifice is required when getting a guide dog I guess.

May your day be marked by a few brilliant things that make you smile way down deep in your soul and maybe even a few that make you laugh hysterically like the young girl you really are!
Happy Birthday, Fowl Megler! You have your whole life ahead of you. I’d rather relive the previous 20 years than I would the 20 years before that (I’m 58). Enjoy the day, enjoy the future!
I’ll see you there on Tuesday. Does that make sense? In case I am being a idiot while my kids drown in the bath, I will 34 on Tues. Most likely I won’t actually see you anywhere.
ok, this is crazy…I’m not a huge blog reader, but as I mentioned in another comment, I stumbled upon your blog via a google image search (for tandem bicycle) and it captured my attention.
and of all the blogs to stumble upon and be captivated by, it was yours. Low and behold, we share the same birthday. 4-19. oddly coincidental, no?
hope you had a happy birthday this year…I turned 29 and struggled with the fact that the big 3-0 is just around the corner. lol.
