oh happy day pt. 2

Filed under: love, playoffs — meg @ 3:55 pm

It’s the Superbowl!

With my boys, The New England Patriots.

And yes, I was a fan before all the successful runs.

I love watching this stuff — I get totally emotional and excited about it.

I think it’s just how I was raised.

But given a sunny Sunday, the deck door open to let in the fresh air, good food and friends around, and news of snow tomorrow…

Well, life just seems kinda perfect.

UPDATE: A loss, and a game where Brady didn’t look like himself. But he is still the finest QB going, and I love my Pats with all my heart. xo!

I’m still in shock over that loss. I just can’t believe they lost. How did they string out our hopes until the last 3 minutes of the game?! That’s just cruel.

What is it with Boston teams and the largest chokes in sports?!

  2. meg Says:

I wouldn’t call them habitual chokers, the Patriots. Not at all. Today was an anomaly. Really. :)

  3. Debbie Says:

I thought Brady looked just fine. His guys were not defending him. Couldn’t believe how many times he got hit. What a good game it was!

I’ve waited for this day since 2001. Thank you Eli Manning, for the greatest upset in NFL history. Brady should have learned from Tony Romo; leave the supermodel home. Somewhere, Bridget Moynihan is smiling.

Let’s not get into that stuff here — this is about sports, not tabloids. Tom Brady is an exceptional athlete admired by his peers and fans alike. In this context, that’s all that matters. If we all had our professional lives judged by what we did in our personal lives, a lot of people would be out of work. :)

    (And Bridget is/was a supermodel, too. :))

It was a great game. I was still kind of choked that the Giants beat the Packers, but I decided that I’d like to see Eli win and become his own QB, not “Peyton’s little brother”. What a great game indeed.

  7. Rick Says:

Yes, we gots our boys too! And Manning done The Delta proud.

Not that I give a crap about sports.

But how about those Heatbreakers, huh? Still looking like a mess. Gotta love ‘em.

Bit of a late hit here, but the tale of this game was one of line play.

The Pats offensive line, one of the best in the league this season, was perforated by the simply brilliant play of the Giants D. Brady was hurried, harried, and sacked, which hardly happened this year.

But of course, that’s details. Real fans know the problem was that the coach should never have given up his lucky grey hoodie for the shiny new red one.
