Good post Meg. Your writing style evokes a feeling of whimsy and euphoria kind of like the whirling plastic bag blown by the wind scene from American Beauty. Nice.
In the few months I’ve been in Vancouver(ish), I have come to the exact same conclusion as you in those last three lines. well put.
