It actually seemed like just another day. It’s just confirming my feeling of going somewhere secluded for next Christmas where I can just relax and refresh. I’m thinking of a cabin in Banff or Whistler where I can sit in by the fire and look out at the mountains.
1. Best moment was when my niece looked through her new telescope and said that she could see the sky and it was wonderful. She couldn’t see anything I had not finished putting on the lens.
2. probably that telescope
3. spa like robe
4. cranberry and brie in phyllo
5. I’d give anything for my sister to not have to live with depression
6. More magic or christmas spirit, very lacking this year.
7. I didn’t eat any turkey.

Holiday moment: no kidding, the entire day was grand. That’s never happened before. Yay!
Best gift I gave: a hand carved nativity arch to my Mom. It was made in Erzgebirge, where she was sent (as a little girl) to stay during WWII. She cried when she opened it.
Best gift I got: It was all very cool. But the best “gift” was the lovely day that it was.
Best thing I ate: pork roast, no knife needed. Yum.
Gift I wish I could have given: peace to my brother. He is so troubled.
Anything I would change: not a thing.
I had the dry turkey on Thanksgiving. Once a year is enough.
