fifteen things I’d really, really, really like to do today that I won’t be doing today for a number of reasons, among them work and creeping lung death.

1. Rollerskate to hits of the 80’s in a twirly skirt.
2. Bake a cheesecake.
3. Ride a tandem bike around Stanley Park.
4. Go to a spa to get my entire body scrubbed mercilessly.
5. Try on ballgowns.
6. Make a giant brunch complete with strawberry waffles and bacon.
7. Go on the backwards disco ride at Playland.
8. Buy the perfect pair of black boots.
9. Jump on a trampoline until my insides feel jangly.
10. Sing with a jazz trio.
12. Take a nap in an ice hotel.
13. Watch judge shows on tv in my pajamas, making incredulous remarks in between sips of the latte someone brought me.
14. Discover the ideal tailored camel hair coat for $10.
15. Build a table with many, many power tools.
Ah, yes.
And what do you wish you were up to?

1. Get a massage.
2. Lay on a beach in the Greek Isles.
3. Find the perfect jeans in lengths appropriate for flats and boots. And they cost $10. Just like the cashmere sweaters right next to them.
4. Have a eureka! moment in which I discover what I should be doing with my life.
5. Eat a nice tomato, mozzarella, and pesto sandwich.

Being pain free just as I was up until 9:15 yesterday morning when someone on his cell phone ran a red light into me…

I meant to say “ran a red light AND into me” but my brain is foggy today!

Hmm…so many possibilities…so little time…
1. Getting a (preferably free) pedicure…not the cheapo, super-fast kind, but the long, luxurious, paraffin wax kind.
2. Eating all of the Halloween candy that is currently residing in my kitchen cupboard…without any threat of gaining a pound.
3. Exploring a new corner of Vancouver.
4. Cuddling up in my fresh sheets with my new book.
5. Receiving unexpected love from my diva-like cat.
6. Strolling the streets of London…or Rome…or anywhere in Europe.
7. Allocating the millions I (wish) I won last weekend.
Fantasies are made of this…

That is one of the most adorable photos that I’ve ever seen!
I wish that I was on a beach in Maui right now, soaking up the rays, instead of slaving away in front of this computer at my office.

1. Watching football
2. Having a good round-table discussion with friends
3. Lord of the Rings: Extended Edition marathon!
4. Working on my screenplays
5. Just sitting back and looking at downtown Vancouver, day or night
I unfortunately can do none of these things right now, as I have a paper due tomorrow. Alas!

Not to make you jealous or anything, but I just finished baking my first apple pie and now I’m going to take my dog for a walk on Whiffen Spit. Sure, I wish I was lollygagging on a beach in Fiji, but today my life here in Sooke isn’t so bad.

1. Taking a course. (Maternity leave isn’t always all that it’s cracked up to be.)
2. Going to an aerobics course (repeat stuff in () above).
3. Read.
4. Go to a spa and do everything that that might entail.

We can work out the ice hotel thing in March, if you still want to.
