is it day 15? gah.

Filed under: Everything else, angsty — meg @ 8:29 am

Still coughing, still congested, still bleah.

And I was such a good girl and went to the doctor this weekend. As my reward, I got a fairly odd/angry/disturbing physician at the drop-in clinic, and now I could have pneumonia, or bronchitis, or a bad cold… or maybe just a big nose?

What?

Any kind of antibiotics you want in particular? Do you have a favourite?

What?

I know, I’m not sure either.

BUT I AM SO DONE.

    I love Levofloxacin.

My husband has had the same thing for two weeks - and he can’t same to shake it either….

But, getting him to go to the doctor will be highly unlikely…since he hasn’t been to a doctor in more than 15 years. Sigh.

I hope you can bounce back quickly! Has your doctor tried you on Biaxin? It’s EXCELLENT (in my experience only, of course–with the kids) for bronchial stuff, and my kids have MAJOR messed up lungs, all scarred and congested & blecky.

    Feel better soon!

I hate all antibiotics, but I adore the cough syrup my doctor gave me. It’s Donatussin and my lungs practically stop working without conscious input from me. I know that shouldn’t be a recommendation for medication, but to not coughcoughcoughcough? GOLD!

I am also taking Doxycycline Hyclate and it is awful. It makes me pukey. Stay away from tetracycline if you can, too. It ate a hole in my esophagus once.

Message to Meg’s lungs: Get better!

Hope you feel better. I have a theory that the more that your immune system gets used (i.e. have a bug) the longer you will live. Your immune system needs a workout to stay healthy. You will be stronger in the long run.

Sorry you’re feeling so bleeech and I hope you get better soon, Meg.

The nose is kinda cute, although marginally undershadowed by the lovely eyes; drowning, anyone? Throw me a life-vest, girl…

Monty, he gave me a Biaxin prescription, but after his total lack of thoughtfulness, I felt like I should hold off until I could see someone else. But that’s kind of reassuring that it worked for you. Hmmm.

The questions I asked above? Were the ones he asked me.

Thanks for all the well wishes, my dears.

Try this: http://www.californiababy.com/colds-and-flu-bubble-bath-massage-oil-essential-oil-blend-20-percent-off.html it always makes The Girl feel better, and it makes me feel like I am doing SOMETHING. Seriously, I love this stuff. And a bath can never hurt, right?
