i! have! so! much! to! do!

Filed under: Everything else, random, getting out — meg @ 10:24 am

WHY IS THIS PHOTO SHOWING UP ON IMAGE SEARCHES FOR SAN DIEGO?

I totally plan to do that when we’re there.

Tomorrow evening, we’re dancing off into a Californian sunset, and I cannot TELL you how EXCITING this is.

Dry air. Sunshine. Beaches. Palm trees. Peet’s coffee. A new shift key for my iBook at a Genius Bar.

MAGIC, I say. MAGIC.

But before this can happen, I have to:

Finish a ton of work
Do something to my hair to fix it
Answer 89,000 emails
Do my laundry
Pack my suitcase and carry-on
Clean my house
Run errands
Pay bills

WHEW.

I’m a tad scatterish.

If you have any:

packing advice
news on international flying regulation changes
haiku about busyness
questions for the universe
lottery windfalls to share

… just let me know!

Back at it!

I have none of the above, but I do want to say “Have a great time!” I loved the 11 years that I lived in and around San Diego (we don’t count the divorce part, though).

No $ to give, as much as i’d love to share some with ya sorry Meg. Packing advice…i tried this on my last trip and it was totally amazing for no wrinkles. Fold and place your blouses, t-shirts, any kind of tops in freezer size ziplock bags. I put up to 3 tops in each bag. Dont know how or why it worked so well but nothing needed ironing when i got there, not even the fold marks! Also, put shampoo, conditioner etc in small ziplocks. Mine burst and made a mess. Another reason to thank goddess for the clothes being in ziplocks.
I LOVE San Diego! Have a great trip, stay safe.

    Pre-packing frenzy
    equals haphazard suitcase

    Have a great time!

I would do that too. You got her number?

Make a list of everything you think you’ll need and then take only half (or less) of it. You’ll still have stuff you carted around and never used.

Make sure you have a couple day’s worth of meds and other necessities in your carry-on bag.

How long are you gone for? Will you still blog?

As for my universal question/lottery windfall (though I don’t know if you want to share THIS):

Why do I always get the last three squares of toilet paper? (we call that winning the lottery in my house)

  7. Rick Says:

In paragraph 3, you forgot to list “The highest number of retired US Navy admirals per capita.”

You’re slipping, Meggeroo. But I’m sure you’ll come back on the top of your paragragh 3 game.~,:^)

Have a great time in the Great South.

San Diego is the next best city in California next to Anaheim.

My packing advice for you is not to pack at all. We have a lot of places to shop in California. You can buy a whole new wardrobe here.

I have to warn you that it is a little warm here, even though it is mid-September.

  9. Stacy Says:

Oh my! Have so much fun! I LOVE LOVE LOVE San Diego! Have you been out to Coronado Island? Love it! I want to stay in that big hotel. It is a dream of mine to go to Cali with Kev and stay just one night in that magnificient hotel!
