I have been meaning to ask since seeing my separated-at-birth twin here, how you pronounce “quay” in the rainy Northwest. I have been discussing this with a Scottish pal in Qatar and another guy in Australia. Others have chimed in from Old Blighty, of course, and I have personally asked directions in Paris. There are severe regional variations and serious rhyming implications.

We pronounce it like “key”.
