  1. I hear ya on the Crocs! But Harry Potter totally lives up to the hype, seriously. (Okay, the books. Maybe not the movies) And Big Brother is my guilty pleasure in the summer. That and So You Think You Can Dance.

  2. Liz, on the West Coast? Yeah. I’d say the obsession with it and the tendency to rattle it off as part of a really obnoxious coffee drink makes it a phenomenon. Not just for lactose intolerant people, people who enjoy the health benefits, and perimenopausal women anymore, oh no… now it’s for people who just want an excuse to pay 60 cents more for their latte.

  3. Me too! Except I have been to Disney Land and Disney world – but I was a kid, so what could I do?

And, embarrassingly, I kind of want a pair of Crocs. Yeah, yeah, I know.

  4. 1. Disneyland rocks.

    2. Venti nonfat soy latte reminds me of “double decaffeinated half-caf with a twist” from “LA Story”. (everyone say it now: “I’ll have a twist!”)

    3. The word “phenomena” is already plural, and ALSO, when you say it enough times, you get a Muppet song in your head.

  5. My editor says either works — phenomenas is considered kosher. :-) I thought about that for a minute, then I thought, why the heck am I sitting around wondering about this? TAKE A RISK, WOMAN.

  6. i have, in my position as queen of dorkdom, just converted not one but two of my roommates into harry potter dorks. :)

    my work here is done!

  7. Wow, its like I’ve found my other half… or not. I haven’t seen any Lord of the Rings or bothered with anything Harry Potter. I haven’t seen a Star Wars movie, prequel or the originals. People find me incredibly odd for these facts, glad to know someone out there is with me on this.

  8. Lo, what dismay! Quelle horeur! I dropped my son off at his mom’s yesterday and, well, the conversation went like this:

    -Are those Crocs? For Rhys?
    -Yup.
-The front looks like a car.
-The best part is the back, look, they have blinking brakelights when he runs.
    -Blinking, car-shaped Crocs?
    -Aren’t they great?

I left that as a rhetorical question. ;-)

  9. I’m with ya on most of those items, but I have to say that the Lord of the Rings movies were – astoundingly – very nearly as good as the books!
