So what’s on your iPod/CD player/car stereo/8-track?
Do tell.

8 Track -
Captain & Tenille’s “Love Will Keep Us Together”
(my parents had this one)
Ipod -
Elvis Costello’s “I Want You”
and various other alternative rock stuff
Can’t seem to get out of the last century, any specific recommendations?

Ah, see, I love Elvis Costello. He’s awesome.
I’d suggest Wilco’s “Sky Blue Sky” and Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black” as good starters from my current favourites. Solid, solid albums from really talented musicians, and completely different sounds.

Hey, “What a Fool Believes” is one of the best songs ever! And who doesn’t love a little “Misty Mountain Hop”? I can’t speak to Creed and Bolton, though. You’re on your own there. :-)

Nothing new on the iPod. Just the same old George Strait, Howard Jones & the Scorpions. I’m SO jealous that you have had a chance to download some Peter Bjorn & John and Wilco. I totally love finding “new-to-me” music. :)
Has it stopped raining there? Cuz it sure hasn’t here in Seattle…
July 23rd, 2007 at 9:34 am
Howard Jones! Yay! No One is To Blame!
July 23rd, 2007 at 1:44 pm
Hayley Sales - What you Want (sounds like female Jack Johnson)
Josh Rouse
Stacey Kent (American living in Britain, great jazz)
July 23rd, 2007 at 2:51 pm
Lots of blues: Bonnie Raitt, BB King, the Lightning in a Bottle soundtrack, Chris Wheatley (I think), Wayne Baker Brooks. Standards: Marlene Dietriech, Fred Astaire, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald. Many singer/songwriters: John Hiatt, John Prine, Steve Goodman, Duncan Sheik. Good old rock and roll. And other stuff. (I love Jill Scott! Very sexy.)
July 24th, 2007 at 10:56 pm
I love Sufjan Stevens, Spoon, and Amy Winehouse. You have good taste in music.
These days, I’m listening to a lot of Regina Spektor, Paolo Nutini, Keane, Jet, and The Perishers.
