megipedia inaugural entry: Wee Kleenex Packages.

Filed under: megipedia — meg @ 1:22 pm

As submitted by my co-worker, the first ever Megipedia entry will be on wee Kleenex packages.

WEE KLEENEX PACKAGES

As a major allergy sufferer and former childcare worker, let me tell you… wee Kleenex packages have saved my life more than once. Well. Not literally, like McGyver.

You can get them in a variety of attractive motifs (”colour bars” is my favourite design) to suit your own personal style. Once you choose a design, simply put these small plastic-wrapped packages in every purse and coat pocket you have, just in case you have any dripping/cleanup/bleeding emergencies when you’re out and about.

My mom likes to fold up wads of Kleenex and put them in her purse, but it’s not the same.

Also, my dad used to buy me Sniffs, but Sniffs are too Stiff. Meh.

The only problem with wee Kleenex packages is when there are only one or two left, and they escape their wrapping and shred all over your purse. Also, when I forget they are in a pocket and wash them.

Oops.

An addendum to the Wee Kleenex Packages entry:

I have two darling Wee Kleenex Holders I found at the Pike Place Market in Seattle. They are made of sturdy, Asian-inspired fabric, providing a sophisticated alternative to the attractive, yet still plastic packaging.

In Japan, they’re handed out at subway stations and they include advertising. Free Kleenex tends to make people accept them.

  3. Kirsten Says:

The other problem with wee Kleenex packages is that Kleenex refuses to use Kimberly-Clark refuses to use recycled paper, and blithely destroys ancient forests to make them.

I used to be a Kleenex addict until I read about this: http://kleercut.net/en/

I love Sniffs. I peel them apart, to make one Sniff TWO! They are also handy to use on a particularly dirty mess, like a kid who ate ice cream, or anything really. So, since I figured out the peeling one-into-two I am all pro-sniffs. Wow, best comment ever. ;-)
