You’re gonna laugh… one of the DVDs was “The Holiday” which was perfect romantic fluff (I also have a girlcrush on Kate Winslet, so that helps… and WHOA! Jude Law! And YAY! for Jack Black) and sunny idealism.

The other one was “Little Children”, which was brilliantly, brilliantly written… the conversations were pitch-perfect, and the acting was astounding. You lost track of the characters as actors… they just became who they were.

Mind you, there is some fairly graphic content, and some rather disturbing themes, but I think the whole thing ends up being rather moral in the denouement.

It’s not a feel-good film by any means.

On another note, I saw Ocean’s Thirteen, and have renewed my crush on S. Soderbergh. Mmm!
