It absolutely breaks my heart to think of all those senseless killings. My thoughts and prayers are with the parents and loved ones of those killed.

How does this keep happening? The Dawson College shooting in Quebec was the “closest to home” (Nova Scotia) any of these horrific shootings have ever been. My fiance just told me that he knows someone at V. Tech (she’s ok) and it made me realize how close to home each of these events really are to every person watching, even all the way up in Canada. My thoughts are with them too.

I live in Virginia and Tech is one of the biggest schools in the state. If you live here you know people that went there or are going there. What happened yesterday affects everyone around here. My friend’s daughter is a student at Tech and we spent yesterday awaiting news about how she was doing and what was going on. I can’t imagine how these kids feel, and they are kids, adultedhood is still a few years away. Their world is different now, their innocence stripped away. Sunday everything was fine and then in a instant everything changed. I hope they can recover. I hope they can find peace.
