3 days in a row!

Filed under: stuff — meg @ 7:50 am

Ahhh, sunny.

It does my heart more good than I can possibly express. Maybe some signs are pointing to me experiencing some sort of SAD, but I’m not so sure. After all, rain doesn’t make me depressed… it just pisses me off.

But sun! Sun! I love sun! Sun makes it all okay again, and that’s what matters.

In fact, sun makes everything SO okay that none of the following things has irritated me in the last 24 hours:

1. My allergies (go Reactine!)
2. Rachael Ray
3. Shoes
4. That horrid, horrid “Lips of an Angel” song
5. Nancy Grace
6. The obsessive love people have for “The Sopranos”
7. The strange, strange way my bangs behave
8. The motion light in the backyard
9. The way all the Vancouver free dailies are basically information culled from blogs
10. Oprah (ok, ok, I lied. But it wasn’t until this morning)

See? Life is practically PERFECT when the sun is shining.

+1 on the “The Sopranos”. Gosh, an inside look at the inner workings of an Italian mob family–that’s really original.

I hate that song. I mean, I applaud the return of the Monster Ballad… But that song is awful and the radio stations will not stop playing it every 13 minutes. Gah!

Hi, new reader and first-time commenter here. I’ll bet you have SAD and would benefit from a full-spectrum light. My SAD manifests as being blue, but also no energy and (ack) a burning need for carbs and more carbs. Ten minutes with a full spectrum light while I’m sipping my morning latte makes a huge difference for me - instead of sitting around like a lump I feel like a normal person. Try it!

Hi Carrie! I did try it once when my friend got one — we all did! We were curious! But I’m not actually SAD. I just really hate what rain does to my hair:). It’s a classic shallow Vancouverite ailment.

  5. Heather Says:

    That song is retched.

  6. Darren Says:

Huh, that’s ironic, because one of my clients makes those lights, and I had nothing to do with that comment, honestly. Weird.

  7. meg Says:

Heh. Everyone recommends them, Darren — they’re pretty common in Vancouver. But as I said, I’m seasonally pissed off, not affected:).

  8. Carrie (in MN) Says:

I swear - no one paid me to endorse the lights! But you’re right, they won’t help your hair.
