  1. I felt the same way for a while then figured screw it, I’m kind of a cool and sassy chic and if others don’t see that well it’s their loss.

It’s hard for me to deal with too though…

  2. meg, i know you didn’t write this so that people would say, “oh, poor meg!”

i know how you feel though. when suffering with something chronic you get frustrated, achy, cranky and emotional and sometimes we just can’t control it.

    hang in there. :)

  3. You are allowed to feel anything you want–happiness, anger, sadness, frustration, elation. You can write, delete (thank you, Bloglines…ha!), rewrite, edit, post, unpost, whatever. It’s your space–your name is at the top. I want to say that a majority of your readers are here to support you and we want to allow you to be happy or sad.

If you were always happy, I might think there was something wrong with you…like maybe you were actually a robot. Not to be judgmental, but do you ever wonder about perpetually happy people? Like what’s wrong with them?

    You are doing great.

  4. I’m on the far side on menopause (though not completely through it), and you just do what you have to do, even if it means pulling over to sob at an NPR commentary or deleting blog posts or eating huge slabs of white chocolate or battling aliens inside you. You just do what you have to do.

  5. meg, you are wonderful. i know that’s not why you wrote this, but i thought i’d let you know nonetheless.

  6. Pretty much what Bozoette Mary said above.

I know of what you speak of, at least the peri-menopause alien stuff. And I have my own chronic health issues as well.

You just have a beautiful way of expressing it in words that I cannot. So thank you for that. Isn’t it good to know you are not alone?

  7. You are doing great! We all have those days where we fight with hormones, and you are completely allowed to have license to do as you see fit… And I’m sorry to hear about your early battle with the hormone mess. Life isn’t fair sometimes, but it sounds like you have it well under control.

Isn’t blogging great — You can write what you want, and delete what you want, too. Good on ya!

  8. Sometimes when I read your writing, I fear the internets will melt due to your intensity.
