I don’t believe you look as much Satanic as devilishly happy to be there; that is, “ON VACATION! TO CALIFORNIA! IN A CAR!”
Look at us, glowing in the light from the mimosas on our table. It’s like a fire, except that in almost every respect, it is not. In fact a mimosa could hardly be less like a fire, now that I think of it. Certainly wetter, and more likely to produce a hangover; and a fire would never befriend an entire patio full of strangers in the course of one meal.
Okay so forget that. Bad simile. We’re glowing anyway, dammit.
You have made it a long way in these twelve months. The next twelve will be good ones. And easier. Here’s to 2007.
Now go drink a mimosa. Or, you know, start a fire. Whatever you feel best expresses your sense of celebration. Ten minutes till the ball drops on the east coast!
Eric is such a hottie that I have a blog crush on him.
That picture of the Alien is still one of my favorites, but she is SO MUCH BIGGER now! (As you know from the CUTE picture I sent you.) (That is not bragging, it is just a statement of fact.)(Why do I feel the need to put everything in parenthesis?)
Big love to you in 2007, Ms. Meg. Thanks for all the great writing on and off the blog. I am even sending HUGS!! (Can you believe??)
Oh Eric, it was nice of you to take that obligatory picture with the devil. You can be so generous like that.
