  1. You have struck a chord with me, Meg. If I may be so presumptuous as to offer strategies I have used to “get off dead center” First, go through your “plans” post and change the past tense verbs to present or future tense. I find that I habitually speak in such a way as to be self-defeating. Even though we don’t recognize it at the time, I think these habits subconsciously undermine our plans. Second, I have found 5 year plans to be the most useful because It may take 6 mos. to a year to get the plan together. Then you have time to execute the plan and enjoy. Don’t forget about that last word, enjoy! Enjoy the process AND the result. It is all part of living. I just finished a new 5 yr with my partner of 30+ yrs. It took us several months to realize that the last plan had expired and we were drifting. Now we have our new goals in mind are on our way again.

  2. This entry definitely struck a chord with me too; thanks. I will spend these remaining days of 2006 thinking seriously about this five year plan idea of Linda’s, and I will make my own personalized plan and we will both bust out of our respective ruts.

All the best! I’ll check in on you regularly.

  3. OOOXXXOOO Meg.

Plans? Who needs plans? Enjoy the NOW now. Forget unachieved goals OOOXXXOOO and don’t, whatever you do, be so gloomy about the future OOOXXXOOO. You’re young and beautiful and the best by gawd new blogger in Canada and probably the world too OOOXXXOOO.

What’s with all the hugs and kisses you wonder? I just felt like it. No plans.
