  1. *giggle* I knew that one thing was for me.

And why don’t I get any cool demanding emails like that??
    I never do.
    Dang.

Because I would post them and make fun too. You’re ever so much nicer than I am, to preserve their anonymity.
    Dang.

:):) I think you do just fine…and quite frankly it’s no-one’s business what you post, is it? Doesn’t that take away from the whole ‘blogging’ experience, anyways?
    Dang.

  2. It is your you-ness that keeps me coming back. If you wrote about your sex life or politics or religion, I would unsubscribe you from my Bloglines (now there’s a threat!).

You make me laugh at least once a day. You make me cry once in a while, too. Fortunately, you don’t make me cry everyday…just often enough to know the ducts aren’t clogged.

To all those others, I say–let them eat cake…or get their own darn blogs. (I have never been able to understand why people keep reading if they have such a negative reaction and think it is their job to reform the writer. Get a life, people!)

  3. Even though I didn’t think it humanly possible, somehow my respect for you just inched up another notch, Meg. As long as I’ve read here you’ve been all over the map. Funny, poignant, crazy, somber, thoughtful, and too many other descriptives to mention, all the while being just you. Invariably, that last part puts a smile on my face because it’s nothing short of precious to know someone with that kind of personal integrity.

So YAY for you Meg Fowler!! Thanks for being who you are. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got to go make coffee.

  4. This is a great unloading / venting. You’re experiencing the outer edges of “Fame”. People start to put their own expectations on you, because they feel that they know you, and eventually feel that they know what’s best for you. At least you’re dealing with it well!

  5. WOW!

I Loved every second of reading that post! It was worth the time to read, and believe it or not, gives us enough of Meg, without being too personal, or political, or techy, or geeky, or whatever the heck the new term is, LOL!

Like Willow said, hang in there love… and always remember it’s your blog. you run it the way YOU want it to be!

    Hugs!

  6. You go gir’frien! Like Wanda said… It’s kinda funny to think that we “know” each other through a rather political blog but neither of us blogs about much of that and in my opinion, it makes the world a more interesting place. I can’t say that it’s nice to read about all your bumps and bruises and heartaches but the way you write about them shows a sensitivity and insight far beyond your years. You’re a class act, schweetheart. Keep it up!

  7. Whew, that wore me out. I feel like I just ran a whole mile…or kilometer….or whatever.

Excellent manifesto. Maybe you could start a blog cult with that. The UBFBOWTFIW- “The United Bloggers for Blogging on Whatever the F*** I Want”

  8. man, i just don’t get people. if they don’t like your blog they should stop complaining and just stop reading it. or skip a few days and come back–maybe you’ll have a post they like then! i, for one, love hearing about what you DO write about, whatever it may be. i think it’s interesting to hear another person’s point of view and you have a very lovely way with words, meg.

  9. I will never understand why people will spend time reading something they so clearly hate. It is not required reading you know; If you don’t like it, amscray.

I adore your blog because it is just that, your blog with your unique views that I happen to appreciate. Nobody would be able to label themselves with just one word, why should one have to define their blog as such?

  10. I’ve had you bookmarked but for some reason haven’t been by for a long time? Shame on me!

I’m single and don’t write about past or present men either. It just didn’t work for me. I may refer to men in passing but it’s always a blind item, and only then for minimal context…never know who’s reading, right?

These sites are ours to do with what we will…I’m with the other commenters: if people aren’t happy with what they read, there’s a million other places they can go!
