When I was a kid, the little Oiler fans used to throw rocks at me during hockey season because I cheered for the Canucks.
And so.

Several of my friends will be HORRIFIED by this. But they’ll still love me.

GO CANES!!!!!!! I LOVE Cam Ward. He deserves to win the Stanley Cup more than any Oiler. Yay! :)

I have to admit, even though I’m a Hurricanes fan (after being a Wings fan, a Lightning fan, and a Jackets fan) I was caught up in the Eulers hype and really had a place in my heart for them by the third period tonight.
That having been said, I’m off to class, wearing my Carolina jersey.

I understand, but I’m still sad. As a Caps fan, I am obligated to hate the Canes. And yeah, the Canes played better — except for Game 6. ;-) Anyway — let’s all hope Ovi gets the Calder Trophy!

I should follow up by adding that I grew up in Calgary in the 80s and so was trained to hate the Oilers with a passion, but still. Bad Meg.
